Airbus is hiring for the role of Application Security Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Contribute to the development and enforcement of secure coding standards, guidelines, and policies across applications.
• Perform static code analysis (SAST/SCA), review code for security vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and insecure coding practices in web & mobile applications.
• Onboard critical applications into CI/CD pipelines and ensure automated security scanning in DevOps workflows.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, security architects and stakeholders to analyse vulnerabilities (true positives / false positives), propose remediations, and guide development teams on prioritizing fixes.
• Provide technical support and guidance in application security, produce documentation, and communicate effectively with teams to maintain secure software development lifecycle.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation techniques; participate in security forums, trainings, and continuous learning.
• Help shape cultural changes toward a security-first mindset, promoting awareness and secure-coding best practices across the organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 1 to 3+ years of relevant experience in application security or secure coding (SAST) environments.
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g. Java, C#, JavaScript, C++, etc.) — for code review and security audits.
• Basic understanding of common application security vulnerabilities (e.g. OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 25) and their mitigation controls.
• Familiarity with Cloud environments, DevOps CI/CD pipelines, and software development lifecycle processes.
• Preferred (but not mandatory): certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH or similar.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and team-collaboration skills; ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in an agile framework (Scrum/SAFe/Kanban).
