ABB is hiring for the role of Application Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Concept creation and requirements engineering for intelligent machine automation.
• Software development using our engineering tool "Automation Studio."
• Automation and testing of our latest product developments and technologies.
• Commissioning at our customers' sites.
• Performing survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks.
• Exercising judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods and preparing project documentation within your scope of deliverables.
• Assisting customers on technical issues and interacting with official contacts, contractors, and other staff within your scope of deliverables.
• Supporting communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.
• Participating in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes.

Requirements:

• Immersed in software development for automation technology and machine automation development.
• Ability to demonstrate 0 to 3 years of experience in machine automation and experience in installation and commissioning.
• Enhanced knowledge of automation/electrical systems (PLC, drives, control systems, motion control).
• Proactive and communicative, able to work independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation/Mechatronics).
• Comfortable communicating in the local language and English.
• Must hold an India-specific visa/work permit.
