American Express is hiring for the role of Analyst - Risk Management!

Responsibilities of the Candidates:

• Collaborate with Credit Bureaus, Governance, and Chief Credit Officer (CCO) teams to manage the development and implementation of new product reporting strategies.
• Convert the regulatory, process improvement, and strategy requirements into an execution framework to be worked upon by RPDS Product owners
• Develop a thorough understanding of inbound data (New Accounts and GAM) to understand the impact of outbound reporting on bureau data 
• Lead Migrations of the reporting processes from legacy platforms to new platforms ensuring accuracy and enhancing legacy issues.
• Lead strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the global landscape of credit bureau reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze and understand market trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement in credit reporting practices.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external credit bureaus, ensuring effective communication and collaboration on reporting requirements.
• Spearheaded the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects, ensuring they were delivered within scope, and on time.
• Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Requirements:

• Strong quantitative, analytical, project management, and structured problem-solving skills with proficiency in Python, SQL, HIVE, and EXCEL.
• Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and on aggressive timelines.
• Effective team players can manage multiple projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in analyzing data, drawing inferences, and making recommendations.
• Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of credit card business economics.
• SQL, HIVE, Excel, and Python.
• Demonstrated ability to succeed in high-performing teams.
• Strong relationship management.

• Experience handling/influencing senior leaders/partners across geographies is preferred.
• Bachelor’s / Master's Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics Computer Science or Economics) from a top tier institute
