Barclays is hiring for the role of Analyst in India Operations (Securities)!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Handle BAU client Reporting & Be-Spoke Client Reporting.
• Test new reporting functionality as well as Be-Spoke client reports.
• Interact with Project Manager and External Testers for test case creation.
• Review and update testing cases.
• Supervise Testing and UAT.
• Maintain MIS on Testing and Errors.
• Escalate Testing Challenges as needed.
• Periodically interact with Technology for issue resolutions, new deliveries, and Bug Fixes.
• Interact with Business Engagement Group/Business for Bespoke Reports.
• Handle Queries on Client Reports.
• Ensure Smooth Transition of UAT into Production.
• Create Be-Spoke Reports.
• Manage Dispatch and Logistics.
• Audit Trails and MIS.
• Understand all the investment products available in the industry.
• Possess a thorough understanding of fund accounting for investment products in the market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a point of contact for reporting-related discussions and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes, implement efficiency measures, and contribute to the development of better tools or systems.
• Ensure all reports adhere to regulatory guidelines and compliance standards in the investment industry.
• Analyze financial data to ensure the integrity and accuracy of information presented in reports, provide insights, and present trends to clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs, address inquiries, and clarify investment-related matters.

Requirements:

• A relevant degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field. Professional certification such as CFA, CA, or MBA in Finance.
• Proficiency in investment accounting, financial assets reporting, and a strong understanding of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills to analyze financial data to prepare various customized reports as per client requirements.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring precise and error-free reporting.
• Proven ability to identify and solve complex problems related to investment accounting and reporting.
• Knowledge and experience in accounting and reporting of various investment products available in the financial services industry like Equity, Debt, Managed Accounts, AIF, Mutual Funds, Held-away Assets reporting, etc.
• Experience working in Fund accounting and Bespoke reporting.
• Familiarity with financial software and tools as well as advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• The right candidate will have an excellent command of the English language with strong written and verbal communication skills
