Analyst - Derivatives Job in Mumbai at Trafigura

Trafigura is hiring for the role of Analyst - Derivatives!

Responsibilities of The Candidate:

• Ensure all trades processed through clearing banks are correct & reconciled to trader’s records.
• Work with internal departments, external counterparties, and exchanges to resolve discrepancies in trades
• Maintain all clearing accounts on the internal system daily basis, processing contract expiries and trade transfers between accounts
• Work with the Finance team to analyze the impact of moving positions and get optimized Margining benefits
• Inform the Treasury Department of the daily movement of cash received or paid to the clearing houses and perform derivatives settlements.
• Collateral management and OTC Margin call processing
• Perform Regulatory reporting for Regulations such as EMIR, MAS, Dodd-Frank, REMIT

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of Derivatives - FX and/or physical commodity
• Proficiency in critical thinking and the ability to evaluate information objectively.
• Flexible attitude and self-motivated
• Proven ability to partner with global stakeholders
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions under pressure
• Fast learner and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, break them down into manageable components, and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent logical reasoning skills with the capacity to connect ideas, identify patterns, and draw logical inferences.
• Degree educated or equivalent in a numerate discipline or above
• Proficient in MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• SME/end user experience on the MUREX platform
• Working knowledge of reconciliation, settlements of OTC/ETD products
