ION is hiring for the role of Analyst- Capital Structure!

Responsibilites of the Candidate:

• Data Analysis: Analyse capital structure data for public and private companies, using financial reports and company press releases.
• Client Support: Address ongoing client requests regarding capital structures, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
• Quarterly Updates: Conduct quarterly reviews of capital structures for stressed and distressed companies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including credit research to ensure alignment on data interpretation and reporting.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline data collection and analysis processes for enhanced efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, preferably with a focus on capital structures or fixed income data.
• Programming skills like Python, SQL is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting and finance, including financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement), gained through academic coursework, work experience, or a graduate training program.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to extract insights from complex financial transaction details
• Reliable, helpful and a team member with good work ethics with ability to work in a team-based environment, with a sense of teamwork and cooperation.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
