Analyst Job in Mumbai at Apollo Global Management

• Prepare daily cash bookings and perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Ensure proper accounting treatment is applied to all management companies/ advisory entity transactions and balances, including management fees, equity method investments and other related transactions
• Handle quarterly General Partner securitization waterfall and covenant compliance calculation
• Manage quarterly combined Financial Statements and annually audited Financial Statements for General Partner securitization entities.
• Compile and provide detailed support and analyses for internal files and external audit reviews.
• Continue to advance and improve workflow surrounding monthly and quarterly close process with a focus on automating and streamlining processes
• Assist with the quarterly pending deal process, which requires strong communication with Deal Professionals and Fund Controllers on allocating deal expenses appropriately
• Assist with approval of AP/Legal invoices
• Coordinate with fund controllers regarding fund related revenue, expenses, and communication workflow
• Coordinate with Corp Financial Reporting team to supply and review quarterly (10Q/10K) filing requirements, including footnote disclosures, MD&A commentary, and other supporting docs
• Prepare detailed balance sheet and income statement variance and fluctuation analyses in connection with the 10Q/10K
• Assist in maintaining a strong SOX control environment and ensuring proper documentation of our SOX processes.

Requirements:

• Strong U.S. GAAP accounting expertise.
• 2-5 years of experience
• The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with a major in finance, accounting, and/or economics, and prior work related experience in the investment management or financial industry is highly recommended;
• Proficient in desktop technology tools, especially MS Office (e.g. Microsoft Excel);
• Individuals must have strong drive and initiative;
• Individuals must be collaborative to effectively liaise with various internal departments and colleagues, as well as able to work independently;
• Excellent verbal and written skills;
• The role requires an individual to be flexible to balance multiple tasks simultaneously;
• The ability to take on a task and “run with it” until completion is a critical characteristic of this role.
