AM/DM Transmission Machining Job in Gurgaon at Maruti Suzuki India Limited

Maruti Suzuki is hiring for the role of AM/DM Transmission Machining! 

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Process Planning: Process design with in-process checks for machining of Transmission components (Gears, shafts, sleeves, and case Transmission) for mass production.
• Facility Planning & set-up: Preparation of Equipment specification, layouts, procurement of machines involving Techno-commercial evaluation through a tendering process, installation & commissioning.
• Design and application of jigs, fixtures, cutting tools, and gauges.
• Capacity enhancement for existing set-up by Bottleneck identification & elimination by Kaizens, process balancing & cycle time reduction.
• New technology introduction for supporting the desirable Manufacturing process in machine shops.
• Proactive identification of defects/ gaps to design foolproofing in the machining process.
• Casting and forging development for transmission components.

Requirements:

• Domain knowledge of manufacturing processes & machining processes involved in transmission components, drawing reading, Knowledge of process quality control parameters and techniques
• Ability to understand technical and commercial requirements for set-up of machine shop & to evaluate alternatives with Cost-benefit analysis
• Hands-on experience in equipment/plant set-up related to the machine shop for 2-wheeler / 4-wheeler
• Design concepts of CNC machines, its application, and programming
• Knowledge of various types of cutting tools, applications, and cutting parameters
• Familiar with software such as Uni-graphics, Auto-cad, Factory-CAD
• Ability to effectively communicate specific requirements with suppliers and monitor the overall development process at the supplier end
• Strategic Thinking & Strong execution orientation and problem-solving approach
• Hands-on experience in the tendering process, technical evaluation, design approval with suppliers, and machine import activities
• ECN/ECR feasibility check, necessary arrangements, and its smooth implementation
