AM/DM Engine Engineer Job in Gurgaon at Maruti Suzuki India Limited

Maruti Suzuki is hiring for the role of AM/DM Engine Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Work as the Engineering person in charge of 2W Engine.
• Conduct Technical Reviews & Specification meetings with suppliers for part development.
• Monitor development progress and resolve issues for smooth part development.
• Participate in Design Proto, Production Proto, and Mass Production Proto trials for model development.
• Assess vendor’s technical capability to manufacture parts as per desired specifications.
• Formulate strategies for supply de-risking and introduce alternate sources.
• Explore new technologies and regulations in the 2W domain – EVs, Flex Fuel Engines, CAFÉ Norms, OBD Norms.
• Strategize to comply with government regulations of Indian and global markets.
• Implement design requirements for engine performance and quality.
• Generate cost reduction ideas, organize VAVE workshops to meet company targets.
• Benchmark with competitors to improve customer satisfaction index.
• Work on quality problems in collaboration with the market quality team.

Requirements:

• Technical/Functional:
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes for engine powertrain/electrical components.
  • Proficiency in Unigraphics NX 11 software for drafting, design study, assembly check, etc.
  • Functional knowledge of performance parameters of engine mechanical/electrical parts.
  • Familiarity with GD&T and standards used in engineering drawings.
  • Project management and presentation skills.
