Maruti Suzuki is hiring for the role of AM/DM - Computational Fluid Dynamics CAE!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Vehicle-level CFD analysis experience - modeling and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of Fluid mechanics, turbulence modeling in CFD, and Finite volume method.
  • Work in the area of Vehicle Aerodynamics – should have a good conceptual understanding of Aero Drag.
  • Design & CAE Software knowledge – UG, Hypermesh, Star CCM+.
  • Exposure to Fluid test facilities, instrumentation, and correlation development.
  • CAE Modelling – Mesh discretization, fluid parameters setting, surface settings.
  • Carry out CFD evaluation – Steady and Un-Steady states - for Aerodynamics and Aeroacoustics.
  • Interpret CFD and Wind Tunnel results and generate ideas in areas of vehicle Styling and attachment parts & aggregates for meeting performance criteria.
  • Document results and communication with stakeholders.
  • Interact and participate in various Styling, Engineering, and Program Management workgroups in providing feedback and driving countermeasures related to Aerodynamics development.
  • Interact with Fuel efficiency groups in supporting Aerodynamic Drag parameters during different stages of development.
  • Correlate CFD results with physical testing results and make improvements in CAE methodology.
  • Keep abreast with industry trends and benchmark vehicles for features improving aerodynamic performance, and enabling their adoption.
  • Support the development of CFD methods related to new technologies.

Requirements:

  • Strong fundamentals of Fluid mechanics and Heat transfer.
  • Knowledge of CFD analysis and related experience in the automotive domain.
  • Basic knowledge of Automotive Body and exterior part design and the related manufacturing methods
  • Ability to prepare - CAD models in NX software, CAE models in Hypermesh/ANSA software, and CFD models in Star CCM+ software.
  • Ability to generate Aerodynamics performance enhancement proposals.
  • Exposure to Optimization tools, Rainwater Management, and De-Fogging CFD will be an added advantage.
  • Exposure to Wind tunnel testing will be an added advantage.
