HSBC is hiring for the role of Alts Investment Operations Systems Manager!

Responsibilities of the Candidate :

• The Alternative Investments Operations Team is responsible for the global investment operations function comprises portfolio transaction services, core investment support and control to enable investment decisions, product/portfolio controllership for all alternative investment products of HSBC Alternatives. 
• The team operates from centres of excellence in London, Bangalore and Singapore.
• Part of the Alts Investment & Ops Systems, this role will support the systems across capabilities and develop the road map with the key vendors for current and future core systems, supporting the Operations Director- HSBC Alternatives, and the Alternatives Operations team globally.
• Provide operational expertise on systems and support on the systems in collaboration with Alternatives Operations SMEs, IT, and Business Transformation:
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement system enhancements and new solutions.
• Support Alternatives core system and engagement for 3rd party’s vendors; Hedge Fund, Private Market, Private Debt and Real Assets.
• Expand capabilities and focus on growth assets in Asia, i.e., Real Assets.
• The role is expected to manage volume of data set, collection, cleaning, mapping of data and analysis of data set for anomalies and fixing the data set before its ingested in the system correctly.
• Develop and maintain data models, databases, and reporting systems.
• Interpret data and translate findings into clear and concise reports and presentations.

Requirements :

• Degree qualification, preferably in Finance.
• Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL, MySQL, Oracle).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, SAS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in SQL and database management.
