Algorithm Engineer (ML/AI) Job in Chennai at KLA

KLA is hiring for the role of Algorithm Engineer (ML/AI)!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design and develop machine learning software solutions for semiconductor device and thin film metrology.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define software requirements.
• Optimize algorithms and develop efficient implementations.
• Extend prototypes into polished solutions ready for use.
• Implement and maintain solutions in Python with TensorFlow.
• Write comprehensive unit tests and provide technical support during testing phases.
• Document software design and implementation, and deliver presentations.
• Maintain software solutions throughout the tool life-cycle.

Requirements:

• Doctorate (Academic) Degree with 0 years of related work experience; Master's Level Degree with 3 years of related work experience; or Bachelor's Level Degree with 5 years of related work experience.
• Strong background in machine learning, regression models, and TensorFlow.
• Proficiency in Python or C# for writing production-quality, object-oriented code.
• Familiarity with software architecture, development practices, and design patterns.
• Experience with parallel/distributed computing, performance profiling, and memory optimization.
• Knowledge of API development and Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Understanding of computational physics and numerical simulations is a plus.
• Familiarity with semiconductor properties, manufacturing, and metrology is a plus.
• Willingness and ability to travel worldwide for customer site support.
