Responsiblities of the Candidate:

• Prepare indirect tax forms (VAT, GST).
• Post journal entries and understand accounting concepts.
• Prepare W8 and W9 forms (tax form validations).
• Prepare 1099 and 1042S reporting for the US.
• Deliver high-quality products within the stipulated time.
• Manage projects effectively.
• Multi-task on various projects.
• Comply with the firm's compliance procedure.
• Possess fair knowledge of withholding tax and operational tax.
• Work on various countries' tax practices.
• Guide and help new staff.
• Collaborate with tax seniors to meet project deliverable timelines.
• Contribute actively to creating a high-performing team.
• Demonstrate professionalism and poise in demeanor, attitude, communication, behavior, and interaction with others.
• Identify issues proactively and recommend solutions.

Requirements:

• Demonstrate the ability to find information from EY and client resources efficiently.
• Communicate effectively in written and oral forms.
• Prepare and review classification, registration, due diligence, and annual reporting.
• Document all tasks, timelines, and resource requirements to clarify scope and scale of projects.
• Assist seniors in managing clients and projects.
• Adhere to practice protocols and other internal processes consistently.
• Communicate effectively in written and oral forms in English.
• Analyze data with strong verbal and numerical skills.
• Utilize MS Office applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Hold a BCOM/MBA/other finance masters degree.
• Possess 1 to 3 years' relevant work experience in tax operations or a related discipline.
• Understand bank/financial institutions' products, services, IRS regulations, and tax operations.
• Focus on client service.
• Excel in using spreadsheets.
• Understand posting journal entries and accounting concepts.
• Solve problems with a solution-oriented approach.
• Use Microsoft Office proficiently (i.e., Word, advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Projects).
• Learn quickly with excellent communication skills, team orientation, and the ability to work with counterparts in different areas of the organization.
