Caterpillar Inc. is hiring for the role of Accounts Payable Analyst (Payroll)!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Processing Payroll for Staff and Management, Support, and Production employees through quality checks and ensuring to make the salary credit on the pay date. (end-to-end payroll process viz. validate time sheets, one-time inputs, head counts, CTC validation, Payroll Reconciliation, and till the upload of Bank file).
• Coordinating with HR partners, Ramco, and the WD team to address the challenges.
• Validating time sheets provided by HR, Workday reports, and one-time inputs provided by HR and Workday reports.
• Managing payroll reimbursement, and tax declaration monthly before the cut-off.
• Handling employee queries through the payroll portal and attending employee queries via Help Desk, in a timely manner.
• Coordinating to make statutory payments like PF, PT, and ESI on time.
• Taking onboarding sessions for the new joiners and providing suitable clarification to employee queries.
• Supporting tax proof verification once a year to ensure correct exemptions are captured for withholding taxes computation and while issuing Form 16.
• Posting Journal Entries for payroll and vendor payments and performing payroll reconciliation (CART) in a timely manner.
• Processing Full and Final Settlement based on HR inputs and ensuring to make the settlement on time.
• Supporting Statutory Audits for payroll-related documents, preparing schedules, and providing the necessary information to Audit.

Requirements:

• Degree (in accounting) / Postgraduate and well-experienced in the area of Payroll processing with 3 to 5 years of experience.
• Extensive knowledge in payroll processing balancing internal controls and knowledge of payroll taxes.
• Must demonstrate interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
• Excellent organization skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in payroll software skills.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize the work, be willing to stretch during payroll completion time, and adhere to Caterpillar Policies and procedures is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues and persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.
