MetLife is hiring for the role of Accounting Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Serve as the first line of customer contact through system applications or assigned phone extensions.
• Respond to incoming orders via phone requests, web requests, and other channels.
• Expedite purchase orders from requisition to delivery.
• Obtain quotes, determine lead times, and document due diligence.
• Supply literature to clients and follow up on customer requests.
• Interact with MetLife customers across all levels to address needs.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant commodities, services, and bidding processes.
• Stay updated on procurement policies and market trends.
• Manage relationships with vendors and monitor vendor performance.
• Maintain proficiency in procurement policies, procedures, and the PeopleSoft system.
• Resolve account payable issues, manage equipment trade-ups or surplus, and handle P-card expenses.
• Support commodity experts for one-time requests and reconciliation of errors.
• Participate in supplier scorecard initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with predefined quality standards and SLAs.
• Adhere to established attendance schedules.
• Perform additional essential functions as directed by the supervisor.
• Report performance, escalate issues, and seek feedback from the Assistant Manager.
• Consult the Manager for unresolved issues and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with agents for process-related clarifications and assistance.
• Work with Subject Matter Experts on work thread issues and escalated transactions.
• Receive feedback and audits from the Quality Control Analyst.
• Participate in pre-process and process training with Trainers.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in procurement processes and the PeopleSoft system.
• Ability to manage purchase orders, obtain quotes, and document due diligence.
• Strong vendor relationship management and performance monitoring skills.
• Knowledge of commodities, services, and market trends.
• Problem-solving skills for resolving account payable issues and equipment management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder interaction.
• Adherence to quality standards and SLAs.
