Accessibility Tester I Job in Chennai at Anthology

Anthology is hiring for the role of Accessibility Tester 1!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Applying knowledge of disabilities to provide insights into ways to improve the usability and accessibility of our products.
• Using a combination of screen readers, automated testing tools, and manual testing processes to test products for conformance with accessibility standards.
• Documenting findings for review by designers, developers, and project managers.
• Creating accessibility conformance reports (ACRs) from the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT).
• Explaining findings in understandable terms and collaborating to recommend solutions.
• Educating team members on accessibility and usability best practices through conversations, training, and resources.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of relevant, professional experience
• Expert or native-level skills with screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver
• Experience with assistive technology such as ZoomText, Dragon Naturally Speaking, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards and laws including WCAG, Section 508, and EN 301 549
• In-depth knowledge of ARIA and HTML
• Experience with accessibility testing tools (e.g., AXE, WAVE, ARC, etc.)
• Understanding of different product development processes and Agile methods
• Knowledge of inclusive design and Universal Design for Learning
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Preferred:
  • 3 or more years of professional experience with accessibility testing of products
  • Experience developing test plans and scoping for audits
  • Accessibility certifications (e.g., IAAP WAS)
  • Knowledge of coding languages such as React, Angular, and/or JavaScript
